Another fine evening walk along the Fraser River in South Vancouver. Yesterday was a typical soggy, green Christmas; we are thankful the rain has held off today. While I do miss snow at this time of year, I don’t miss shoveling it!

Another Dorset sunset (and last one this year) this evening

A pleasant walk around the outer perimeter of Badbury Rings - an Iron Age hill fort dating to around 800 BC, with evidence of human settlement around 6000 BC

Something about sailboats always soothed me. Ever since I was a very young boy, even. The addition of an unimaginably beautiful sunrise just adds to the mystique. What an excellent photo, my friend! Please do keep them coming as the sun will be up again soon!

It was a really bright red picture, for sure. My wife took the picture with her iPhone. She doesn't know how to use any of the filters on her phone's camera so that bright red sunrise color was the natural color coming through the lens that morning. And, she doesn't know how to do any editing or post-processing of pictures, so that picture is uncropped with no color manipulation. The picture is a little bit over-exposed IMHO but otherwise is a nice original iPhone picture.

I asked on a local Facebook group if anyone else took a picture of the same bright red sunrise yesterday.
Here is one of the pictures someone in my area posted.
You can see the same bright volcano-like section of sky that is in my wife's picture.
