I would start with the question "why to you want to buy it?" This is not a particularly collectible piece, so getting all the parts to match may not make much difference in whether you got a good deal. The serial number on the movement and case# indicate those two pieces belong to each other. The case is dated to 1943ish and the movement is 1944ish. The crown does not look correct for the case, but can be ordered here if you wanted to replace it (http://www.ofrei.com/page_147.html). The dial looks to be accurate, might have been redialed along the way at some point. The "A" in Omega is correct font for the era, and the logo is the older version too.

Thank you so much 30t2fellow for your help, I really appreciate it. Answering your question, I really like the old fashionated way it looks. I was looking for a everyday's watch with something to tell me. I guess it has to do more with the aesthetic rather than with the value. But anyway, due to I really don't know so much about these kind of watches and I read there are a lot of fakes watches with this calibre I really needed the help of some with your expertise to know a little more about this watch. If I get the right deal, I will get it I replace the crown. Thanks again.

PS: Why do you think the dial might have been redialed?

    Incredible!
What a colletion of 30T2 movements!

    Really enjoy read this thread!

Stupid question: Does all 30T2 family is strictly identical in terms of dimensions?
In an other way: Can we put a 269 movement in a case originaly containing an other number caliber of the 30T2 family?

The family name is "Caliber 30". Members are "30" - "30T1" - "30T2" - "30T3" - etc. T = Transformation. All movements of this family have 30mm diameter. Height depends on "SC" (seconde central) or small second.

    Hi

Not necessarily ..... There are some slight differences in the later movements. In most cases you should be able to get away with it , but on the rare occasion you can get stuck....

    good hunting

    Is a 30T2SC allowed (or isn't this a 30mm movement)?

FANTASTIC watch and its a member of the 30 mm family...

Just a fyi ... Omega introduced the 30 mm in 1939... since then they produced over 3 million movements in all versions... ending production in the early 1960s!!! This was the movement that Made Omega a super wristwatch co... just like the 19"' Omega caliber did for the company at the turn of the last century.

    Good Hunting
