Found these two beauties:

Omega 2639-9 tropical dial:

..and a Omega Ref. 2891-2 bullseye:

My question: Are there experts for a dial cleaning for this 2891?
Do not want a clean, bright dial, but I think, there is a lot of dust on the dial.
Try it or leave it as it is?

Best,
Peter

In my opinion there is nothing to be done and do not experiment and do anything. A beautiful watch!

You should change the glass first !
You can try to clean the dial using a drop of soft liquid soap or champoo and rinse with warm demineralised water.
But only if the laquer is in realy good condition. If not , don’t touch it.

Ref#14390 cal 285 (smooth balance, Do 30mm based on Dr Ranfft data base). Dial surface a bit deteriorated but in a consistently manner with Omega & Seamaster gold letterings.

That’s a relatively common large centenary.

My newly acquired 2383. I was offered one for 3 times the price. The dial is in very nice condition but the case is fυcked up. And the crystal needs replacement. Am I right that there is no removable bezel. What do i have to consider replacing the crystal without getting poisoned by radium? Is an ffp2 mask sufficient?

a FFP2 mask will prevent you from inhaling radioactive dust. I also recommend to wear rubber gloves and to work outside the house in a place where its calm (no wind) if temperature allows. Not here at the moment at -10 C 😲

I live in a neighboring country. So unfortunately very similar climate at the moment. Your book lies besides my bed.

My 30t2 ck2417 with a scratched crystal.
Sorry. I had my first try at servicing a watch. And i found out that it is not a 30mm but a 28mm movement, namely calibre 28. So.... wrong thread.
This explains why the watch is also so thin.

Should we start a calibre 28 (or also a t17 and r17.8) thread?
