Great thread. Just went through it all and didn't see anything about this box I have. I purchased it years ago on eBay for my 145.022-69 "straight writing", but I'm not sure if it's period correct, or even authentic for that matter. I'm hoping the pros can help me out as I would really like to acquire a box that is period correct and authentic. The extract of archives from Omega for my watch says production date is September 1971 and it was delivered to Guam.

Your box is authentic, but it is made in Mexico by Holzer so it is unlikely that was sold with a watch in Guam.

That's what I was thinking. Would you happen to know which box, or boxes, would be correct for a 1971 straight writing from Guam?

This is a fun thread. I have two more uncommon Omega boxes (the watches do not represent the correct boxes):

This one should be older:

Afternoon people,
What a thread, new here and didn’t realise there were so many different boxes, just read another post on different buckles, anyway…. I’ve just purchased a Speedsonic 188.0001 (Lobster) and I’m trying to find out which box it should have come with, I have seen them for sale with a couple of different boxes, but wondered if anyone here could shed some light on the correct one or point me in the direction of were I might find out?
I have posted this on Vintage Omega watches Help: https://omegaforums.net/threads/speedsonic-box.155073/
Any help appreciated, thank you.
Aaron

2 more. The 60’s Speedmaster standard one, and another flat older one with metal plate on top “World Famous” and “World Renowned for Accuracy” inside

Someone asking crazy money (GBP 2250) for an EQ box : https://www.ebay.com/itm/234921219212 that doesn't seem anything special, unlike say the "pyramid" EQ case :

just trust him will you? geez
Trust him, it will double the value of your watch. Just be careful of the disintegrating foam. This belongs in the unrealistic price expectations thread!

This popped up in my alerts today. (i.e. not mine)
I don't recall ever seeing a black box for a Constellation (and it looks to be the correct proportions for a Connie box) so I thought I would post it here for posterity.

I've recently acquired a watch box unlike any i have seen so far in my collecting. It appears to be very well built and I feel like it is probably from the 1930s-40s. Could anyone shed any light onto this? Has anyone else seen this one? The watch in the last photo is just for illustrative purposes. Best wishes, Oliver

Hi there!
I found this nice Post and I have a question...😀

I have a red box.
No clue from what or where??
The measurements are 115 mm x 80 mm x 48/50 mm.

Looking forward to some nice info!👍

Is there a number on bottom? Looks like 1501 should say made in Suisse and have a number. 60's Speedy box for 105.003, 105.012, 145.012 and 145.022. See MWO page 217
But dimensions slightly off- the 1501 is 10.5 x 10.5 x 6 cm

Good morning to you @SOG53 !
There are no numbers on the bottom..
And the measurements don't match.

I checked with another box, (but this one does not have any numbers on the bottom either..😲) that fits the description you named, and they are totally different...

Hello,
I am looking for a late 60’s constellation box for my omega 168.029 (c-shape). If you have one, please reply or send me a message.
Kind regards

Hello everyone,

first a short introduction to me: I've been registered here for a long time, but I wasn't very active. After I discovered my passion for Vintages a few years ago, I focused on IWC for the time being. Now the IWC box is well filled (I'm still missing a Ref. 817, but it's hard to find) and I'm increasingly interested in Omega. I'll have to get to grips with that first 😀.

My question: On its way to me is a 168.029. The watch comes with papers and box. Can you tell me if the box is suitable for the reference?

Thank you, Andreas

It’s certainly not fake - I have seen these before. I wouldn’t exactly call it rare, but it is certainly nice and of age. My feeling is that it was from the 40s or 50s.
