Dimensions are a little over 5 1/2 inch long, 4 3/4 inch wide, 2 3/8 inch tall. Seems to be made of Bakelite.
The most beautiful thread on the forum.... The boxes are fascinating, but it is the photos of box and watch that really illustrate the context and beauty of each watch. Inspirational, it asserts a primary, nearly axiomatic method of collecting and displaying. Kudos to the wise collectors. Standards set.
Here’s my newest priced possession, a really early 60’ies NOS Seamaster box for 14755. I love the cool detailing on the golden seahorse and print, so much that it’s now my avatar.
This is really a very nice one - semms to be NOS - huge congrats! I assume it has cost a kidney (at least)
Here is a brown leather version ,compared to the black version that came with precious speedmasters, was told the brown version were for Gold Seamasters in the mid nineties, I think the brown box version is even more rare than the watches that came with em' hahaha since you rarely see them even with their original watches., the black version is pretty common.
Also here are a little brochure about a blue variant , and olympic variant , it says the blue version was for the quartz version and the brown version was for a limited edition solid gold with switchable bracelet.(The different bracelets look great!)
