I remind me reading somewhere that the A277 with white paddle hand has gold sub-dial hands and the A277 with silver second has black sub-dial hands.
Also very interesting is, that all A277 with silver second hand has a different bezel than the white paddle hand A277.

For me it's exciting how many users have an A277 (or more) in this Forum馃憤 and what me interests is how many were built?

What are you thinking?

1. less than 1000
2. 1000
3. 2000
4. 3000
5. More than 3000

I find it interesting that we have a 50/50 split between black and gold sub-dial hands.

Any thoughts?
No idea about those. But me thinks we can conclude from our small sample that the chrono paddle went with the bezel with longer minute hashes from 0-15. The straight steel chrono hand went with the bezel with the minute hashes of same length.

Another variant with tachymeter scale.
I think movado and zenith configurations have been mixed and match quite liberally with the a277

Yes, Adri, this is a foto from the R枚ssler-book.

It is an incorrect dial.

Good observation.

In the book of zenith, is that zenith and movado between 1969 and 1983 were in a Company and there are several watches with / or Movado and Zenith on the dial. I therefore think, that EVL web has right and it in this time to numerous mixed have occurred.
Therefore, I believe that the zenith dial with the tachymeter scale is original. On the foto there is an exemple for Zenith and Movado (ebay).

@Fred400

mhhmm no

The Movado/Zenith dials are a different story.

I think LouS has right because if this dial is from this time it should has the "Swiss T" or " Swiss made T" if it is a earlier dial then has Movado nothing to do with this. The cooperation between Zenith/Movado began in 1969/1970.

It's not the same dial at all and it has nothing to do with the tachy scale. It is an incorrect redial. Numerals instead of batons for the hour markers. The minutes subdial marked out for 45 minutes is not even correct for this movement. The font for Zenith is incorrect and the inking is poor.

I just got this in December, and haven't had a chance to wear it much, but these are fantastic. Still trying to figure out how best to capture this watch.

Well done

Thanks.

I forgot to mention really do like these GF ladder bracelets. I don't like metal bracelets generally, but these are too cool. I now have three of these bracelets.

Mine came 馃榾, I think the end links (zf) are correct, despite the wrong bracelet? Condition wise it is far from above examples 馃槣. The red paddle hand doesn't look like it is painted though, so the previous owner probably swapped the silver hand out for this for what ever reason 馃槈

Edit: it is 146 H by the way I think similar to Gavin's and mick

I got another toy for Christmas (Lytro), so I'm trying to capture a more 3D effect of this watch.
