I don't have mine yet, but again it was OF that inspired me to an imprompt purchase in its recommended zenith watch thread (link to page found at the end of this comment). I actually saw the one recommended being taken at first but some how around half a day later it came back up again so I took it. It is not as pristine as other examples and has a red paddle chrono second hand which I intend to closely scrutinise and take pictures of when the said watch arrives. Mean while, would truly appreciate if others could share wrist shots of theirs here https://omegaforums.net/threads/recommended-zenith-watches-on-ebay-not-inquires.2659/page-51
...and the best thing about this is that, in two weeks time, I will be getting it back from my watchmaker after its 8 month holiday - together with my Rainbow Flyback and my A385
@ELV web, congratulations on your purchase, quite a demanding project! Here are two shots of my Zenith ref. A277: Mick
Is it a definition of irony when someone who's profession is repairing time pieces estimates 10 weeks then tells you 30 odd weeks later that they are ready? Having said that, I am yet to find anybody else in the UK that I would let loose on my vintage El Primeros. The A386 is still not ready because he is awaiting some parts from Zenith.
Same definition here in singapore and I believe most other places, a reliable and trusted watch maker is becoming as hard to find as the parts!
Love these. I got a list of about 6 watches I'm keeping an eye open for this coming year and the A277 or a Movado is definitely on it.
Nice score! I remember admiring Gavin's at our GTG - seriously cool watch indeed with loads of vintage attitude!
Congrats One of my favorites because it has the right size and is really comfortable at the wrist and at last a f*** good looking watch
Loves these.....and still under rated IMO in a watch world that has otherwise gone mad. Find them while you can....
'Creeping'? That's practically a deflationary statement where vintage watches are concerned! Anyway, we're all set when watches are declared a global reserve currency.
I find it interesting that we have a 50/50 split between black and gold sub-dial hands. Any thoughts?
