Kind of. However Lemania did also develop their own solutions based on the “modern» technology of the times. The cal 181 - Quartz/mechanical hybrid chronograph - being one of them. Quite cool construction actually! Column wheel quartz chronographs are not seen too often? I guess, at the the end of the day, survival was key.
Sharing my new Lemania Ch27 C12 from the 1950s. This is a well-worn example of the legendary movement. Far from mint but thats what I love about it. Sometimes you want an old, vintage classic to show its age. I’m super thankful to @Northernman for helping me vet this watch. When a Lemania merits his approval, you know you need to get it!
Lemania 9751 alarm watch. Lemania’s version of the memomatic. Bought from a fellow member just this week.
What a beauty! Congratulations! Missed out on that one, but surely there’s others out there... envious!!!
Thanks. I’d been looking for a Memomatic for quite a while but most I saw looked tired or were overpriced. Then this popped up in the private sales forum and after a bit of thought and more looking at Memomatics I snapped it up. It was recently serviced by Simon Freese too with most of the 12 month warranty remaining. To me it’s the nicest of all alarm watch dials that I’ve seen.
Hi Saw this and bought it ... just over 35 mm screwback 18k gold........ Killer watch.... stunning condition. Good Hunting Bill
