Hi,

Got this early MK1 Lemania Viggen, probably one of the rarest and best looking military watches out there today. Serviced a year ago at Nymans Ur in Stockholm.
1yr warranty left on that service.
The watch was used by Swedish jetpilots of the Saab J37 Viggen, a highly respected fighter jet.

The Swedish Airforce ordered 400 watches from Lemania in the early 70's.
They did order them in two batches and this one is from the first batch aka MK1.
The caseback has some wear but you can still see the M-number and the Swedish Three Crowns.
Between the lugs, you can see the issued number which is 078 for this one.

At this point there's only around 60 known examples "alive" since the pilots had to give back the watches for destruction after some years.

The watch is in great condition with an untouched exterior. The dial is in great shape without any marks or spots, original hands and the bakelit bezel is undamaged.

Watch located in Sweden.
The price was €16.500, NOW €17,500. A partial trade could be of interest.

References available from CT, OF, WUS, Klocksnack.se and from many other places.

Shipped world wide insured at cost.
Payment by bank wire only.

@donkii is a stand-up guy. Deal with in confidence.

The watch is honest.

The asking price I cannot answer to

Gorgeous example of a sublime watch. I have pictures of these in my inspiration folder in case I ever design my own watch.

Fabulous looking watch. If my watch funds weren't in the toilet and the wife on red alert I'd be seriously considering this. GLWS.

Great looking watch with history, if I had the spare readies they would be coming your way. Mind you if I owned it I don't think I could bear to part with it!
GLWS.

So what has prompted this bizarre approach after a week? Too many low ball bidders? Something else?

I'm guessing low-ballers?

Meanwhile: wow, nice watch @donkii !

Bizarre approach? If raising a price is bizarre.....
It has nothing to do with low ball offers or so, it's just a psychological game. Studies show that raising a price on uncommon items, or almost any item, triggers "something" which usually ends up in sales.

Thanks 😀 @NT931

Perhaps interesting would have been a better word. Anyway, your post now has four more bumps on watchrecon!

Did you bump the ad, or did you up the price? 😁

Since raising the price, I've had more interest in the watch 😗
However, mostly trades with watches I've previously owned or have no interest in, so the watch is still available 👍
