·For sale is a very nice vintage Lemania reference 940. The watch is in excellent condition with unpolished case, clean movement, and lovely dial which retains all lume plots.
Case: Gold plated case which is in excellent condition and is unpolished. The inside of lugs are sharp and bezel contours are retained. There are tiny superficial scratches, commensurate with age. Case measures approximately 34.5 mm without crown in diamter and 40mm lug to lug. Lug width of 19mm.
Crown: Signed Lemania crown. The plating has worn from the crown and it appears lighter in tone than the case.
Caseback: Great condition screw down Stainless steel caseback. Small scratch from prior opening attempts. Inside is marked 940-64, corresponding to production year of 1964.
Movement: Cal 3000 movement, which appears very clean. This watch was not serviced in my possession but has been running well in my possession. It winds very well and time sets smoothly. However, if you intend on wearing it daily, a service is always recommended.
Dial: Original unrestored dial in great overall condition. Very pleasant sunburst silver dial with applied gold markers. Please see the high resolution photos. All lume plots are intact and have aged to a dark color, which matches the hands perfectly.
Hands: Original and in great condition.
Crystal: Unsigned crystal.
Strap: Lugs are 19 mm in width. Comes with 18 mm brown waterproof Italian leather strap with gold tone buckle. This is why there is a small gap.
For this watch, I am asking $450 which will include shipping in the USA. Happy to accept bank wire, Venmo, Paypal Friends and Family. International deals will ship at cost to buyer. TransferWise works nicely for international deals.
