·Lemania 105 Chronograph (circa 1950s), head only

Details
Movement: Manual-winding Lemania cal. 1270 movement.
Case: 18K gold case and caseback. Lines on case are strong, the watch may have only been “sleeve polished” over the years. Brushed finish applied to the underside of the lugs is intact. Diameter with crown measures 34mm. Lug size is 16mm.
Dial / Handset / Crystal: Original, unrestored dial. Original handset. Distinctive raised indices. Original crystal.
Bracelet: None.
Accessories: None.
Condition: Case is well preserved for its age and material (gold). Some small indentations and scratches are present. Dial displays all the character of a nealy 70 years old watch; it proudly shows its history. The original crystal is clouded and crazed, if replaced, the dial would appear much more vibrant. There are no tell-tale signs of the movement ever having been serviced–no watchmaker’s marks on the interior caseback and the screw heads look untouched. Right sub-dial is not in working order, nor is the chrono hand. Watch winds and keeps time but runs fast. A movement service is needed.
Comments: This 1950s Lemania 105 chronograph was acquired in 2016 from the family of the original owner. It has remained in a safe since that time. With a little TLC and a sharp looking leather strap, this gold dress watch is ready to be worn and enjoyed.
