Hello, I've been offered this constellation for 450€ it runs but the guy selling it is afraid to open the back of it. It looks legit to me but I'd like a second (third, fourth ...) Opinion on it and to know of you'd be able to tell the reference number.

Thank you

Dial looks original, but hands and crown are unoriginal replacements, and the gold plated case is worn at the lugs. For that amount, you can get a nice and original cal. 265. If you want a Constellation, a little more € can buy you a nice watch.

What's wrong with the hands?

I'm going to pull the trigger. A new glass and a little service and should be good to go for a nice price

The trigger has been pulled ! After 5 months of looking, being close to pulling the trigger etc... I've joined the club !

Next up a Pie Pan ! Or maybe a Geneve calendar with crosshair

Here is mine ref 168.018. Poorly attached star and the lume is almost all gone. And som hair & dirt on the dial. The watch it´s just like me - lovely with some issues 😁 By the way €450 is fair.

A new or polished crystal will probably make it look a lot better.

I'm coming for your help once again ! The same person is looking to sell this other omega :

He doesn't have anymore photos for the moment. I haven't been able to track down a reference number, it looks closer to a 1950s model, almost like a 1950s seamaster. What is throwing me off is that the applied indexes sit under the "drawn on?" hour marks. The ones I've seen whilst looking for a reference number seem to have the applied indexes on the hour marks. I'm not sure if I'm making any sense. Any info would be welcome ! Thanks again for all of your help

That's a reference 2639. A very common and quite popular Omega. There are a lot of dial variants, this one looks ok.

It looks fine to me at first glance. It looks like a 2639, but with center seconds. I'm not sure of the reference.

Thank you both. I'm having trouble finding ref 2639 with center seconds. Is it possible to have a cal 265/266 with center seconds instead of sub-seconds ?

Could this watch be a cal. 283 ref 2640 ?

I don’t think so, 265/266 should be sub seconds (265 with 15 jewels, 266 with 17). 283 is a center second, I‘m not sure about the ref. 2640, though.
