Learn to Fish: The gamble

An interesting Speedy popped up yesterday on eBay

Want to gamble? If I hadn’t already spent my watch budget for the month I would. Bad pictures but you can see a nice DON bezel and with a good monitor you can see the bracelet is a 1039
Now for the wild card. No movement shot, no caseback shot, but if the papers are actually for the watch it’s a 2960 serial range so good chance of a brownish dial.
Was asking $7500 but already dropped it to $7k with best offer option. Worth taking a chance at $5500 maybe even $6k in my eyes, what do you think? Like I said after spending a couple of years here this would be one of the first “shoot first ask questions later” I would attempt but already picked up something this month so thought I would post and hope to live vicariously through someone else.

And gone, if someone here picked it up I’d love to see real pictures of it when delivered!

Not sure what's going on with that bezel, as it looks like may dots on the right side are touching the numbers.

Agreed, bad photo hard to tell but after the thread of a couple weeks ago I was looking at the same point. One photo looks like they touch, the other doesn’t really so I am not sure. But that’s where eBay and PayPal come in, if it is a fake bezel you file your claim, return and get your refund. Like I said, it was a gamble if anyone went for it.

Looking on my phone so maybe I’m missing something, but I don’t see anything particularly appealing about this watch.
