·So my Aqua Terra is part of a limited edition of 61 pieces. I couldn’t find any explanation of that number in its paperwork or on Omega’s site, so I emailed an inquiry to Omega. The respondent (a SWATCH rep) said it was just a random choice.
I guess I need to accept that. And there’s a similar version (on a strap, not a bracelet) that’s 161 pieces. I guess they’re both just random numbers.
But 61… 161… it just feels, like, too random. I know there are Omega chrono movements that end in 61. But this is a Seamaster-line watch.
And other Omega LEs do have significant numbers: 1948 comes to mind.
Anyone have any insights here?
