Hello!

I recently purchased an obviously late Speedmaster Reduced online which has a 90 serial (refer to photo).

Does anybody know if this is the last serial range used for the initial Reduced?

Thanks a lot,
Rick

Hi Rick,

I have the same curiosity. I also bought a Speedmaster Reduced ref. 3510.50 last year, with serial number 90086XXX, country code on the warranty card is Japan.

I would really like to know more about these late serial numbers and whether they represent one of the last production batches of the original Reduced. Unfortunately, the Omega Extract from the Archives service is currently not available for this model, which would probably help us a lot in confirming the production date and details.

It would be interesting to compare information from other owners with similar serial numbers.

One fly in the ointment with these is that the movement itself has no serial so you are dependent on the serial on the cards and on the lug. Supposedly the last 3510.50 was made around 2009, though some could obviously been sold later.

Yep but not on the movement. These have movements designed to be be replaced at service time, not rebuilt, hence no movement serial. For the first few years, there was no external serial at all just a printed dot matrix serial on the inner caseback. Which often washed off if the case was ultrasonically cleaned. Not ideal really.
