I have this vintage chronograph by Leonidas from the late 40s for sale. I am consolidating my collection and sadly this one has to go.
Case: Full stainless steel 2-body oversize case with snap-on stainless steel caseback is in very good condition. Beautiful stepped lugs. The case has some wear for a +70 year old watch. No dings or scratches. Please refer to the pictures to check the condition of the case. Measurements: 40 mm. wide (crown included), 10 mm. height, 47 mm. from lug to lug and 18 mm. between lugs. Crown is original to the watch.
Dial: Leonidas Saint - Imier Suisse Original dial is in unrestored condition, showing a beautiful patina due to age.
Hands: Original hands are in good condition. No corrosion.
Caliber: Leonidas signed Valjoux 22 powered 17 jewels hand wind caliber winds and runs smoothly, and keeps very good time. Pushers work as they should and chrono resets at 12. Very clean movement, recently fully serviced, oiled and cleaned by my watchmaker.
The sale is for the head only, no strap is included with the watch.
Price: I’m asking $1,300 net to me insured shipping within CONUS.
Shipping to other countries at cost. Wire transfer payment or Paypal, only for established OF members. F&F payment, otherwise the buyer pays for the fees (4%). No trades, thanks.
Watch and I are located in the US and I can ship worldwide. Returns are only accepted if grossly misrepresented.
