Matters have compelled me to purge a large portion of my collection on Ebay. Many pocket watches are staying - but many wristwatches are going. The auctions are ending in two-three days.

I asked the moderators if and how I should be able to advertise this to those who might be interested - and they kindly allowed me to set up one mega thread.

Without further ado, here are the listings I believe you guys would be most interested in.

FYI, bidders from abroad (from Spain, at least) cannot bid on your watches, due to the Global Shipping Program restriction.

I have tried, and I have been rejected. It may have to do with the method employed by Pitney Bowes (the shipping company) to introduce the goods into Europe. I don't know, but the fact is that you are left without foreign bids.

Good luck with the sale.

Good point, I think when people see u r using the eBay shipping program, many of them will simply be turned off (myself for one am, it is slow, inflexible and tracking sometimes don't work, plus more expensive than FedEx or UPS)

It's a beautiful collection @Modest_Proposal. I really appreciate the conciseness and clarity of the listings -- I wish other e-Bay sellers would use your listings as examples. Sorry to see your Minerva on the block. Best wishes on this sale.

I feel like a noob when I use the global shipping program, but I've had nothing but nightmares from shipping watches internationally. The USPS won't even ship watches and Fedex and the UPS have restrictions this way and that. Some countries can only have $500 insurance - others $1,000.... Unless I get parcel pro, I always stress way out.

It will cost me, I know. I guess I should be getting parcel pro...

I understand the problem, I only wanted to make you aware of the problem, in case you did not know it.

In practice, the Global Shipping Program, as far as watches are concerned, is like restricting sales only to the USA. If I can't bid, I can't buy, even if I were willing to pay GSP fees.
