Just curious about this Cosmic2000 up for sale on Ebay. It says black dial, but while the pictures of the strap appear to be black, the dial looks to me to be more blue in comparison. That's making me think it's a possible redial. Also from the pictures the second hand and the indicators don't seem to be solid black? The other red flag I have is that there are many pictures of the Omega strap, but none of the Omega 1XXX movement inside. Just curious with 2 days remaining if this looks like a legit prospect or not?

The strap and clasp are fake.

Nice watch by the way. I think this model is a bit undervalued.

Regarding strap/bracelet... 1171 Novolink were fitted on Seamaster Cosmic 2000 166.0128 (676 endlink).

Looks good to me, and I agree with @Shabbaz that the dial looks more grey than blue. These came in all sorts of funky colours back in the day.

Closeups of my deep blue dial for comparison (the lacquer has cracked on mine, which is quite common with the shiny dials, giving quite a cool spiderweb effect):

I also think these Cosmic 2000s are under-rated. With 38mm cases and clean dials, these feel quite modern on the wrist. But you do have to have a good watchmaker who is prepared to work on them!

Hello,

It's not a redial. Although I'm color blind the dial color is more greyish then black. The reason you dont see the movement has to do with the fact it's a monocoque case. It's very difficult for a non watchmaker to open this. Here a add of mine from the past.

Looks grey to me also, or faded black..
Did cosmic come in black, grey, blue, white, gold dial?
Seen so many different versions..

By monocoque you mean snap back type?

Looks blue to me which was quite a common colour on these.

The dial is perfectly original.

+1. The tall indices look absolutely stunning, especially with some sunlight. Really lovely design and it seems (to me) way more modern than it actually is.

Sorry for the double-post, kinda felt like I should prove my point. 😁

Here’s mine in some morning sun, with special thanks to @Toishome

I've always quite liked them due to their larger size and simple styling. What doesn't appeal to me are the short hands, they just don't look right to me and that's probably what's always put me off trying one.

+1 Those hands indeed are to short. Case design is nice though. And the 38mm is fantastic wrist presence.
