Not sure if this is the correct place for this thread but here goes…

I’m looking at getting a watch for my partner as a gift but I don’t really have much idea on models.

She has veered towards smaller watches around the 28mm size and I’ve looked at a few modern watches and they usually seem to be quartz but for mechanical prices.

Does anyone have any recommendations on modern or vintage small ladies watches that are good quality/value or brands/models to avoid. My budget is up to £1,000.

Any advice would be appreciated.

A couple of ladies models reviewed here:

a third one worth looking at is the ladies C-case constellation but the first one there is imo the nicest and best.
Thank you for your suggestions.

The 568.016 on the first link looks like a lovely watch and one that I think my partner would like too. I’ll have a look and see what I can find for sale.

My wife just purchased a new watch within that size range and I think it is very nice, a Tissot Bellissima.

Here’s a stock photo from the Tissot website.

Comes in quartz models at 26mm and automatic at 29mm, on bracelet or strap. Price point around $750 for the automatic version on bracelet.

It’s a striking watch and unique-looking. If you think she would like the style, you can’t go wrong with a Tissot.

Omega used to make ladies quartz Aqua Terra’s with a 29mm case. My wife has one of those as well and likes it as well. If you can find one used, it might be around your price point.

Thank you, I have been looking at a few Tissot models too but hadn’t seen this one so I might see if I can see one in person. She’s pointed out a mother of pearl dial before and said it was nice so I was looking at the Le Locle model tissot so hopefully I could see both at the same time.

Can't go wrong with that model, either.
