·Hi all!
I'd like to get my mothers Omega De Ville serviced and the bracelet cleaned. It still actually still runs fine. Shes had it decades and it needs a good cleanup.
The original watch when she got it actually had a dial with 4 different quarters with white, light blue, dark blue, but for some reason Omega swapped out the dial for this dark blue one when she had it serviced in the past which she was sad about. It would be great to try and source an original dial of this style and replace that for her too.
Does anyone have any more info on this watch? And what would be your recommendations for a service? Would a local well-respected watchmaker be a good bet, or just send it directly to Omega?
On the caseback there it looks like it should be easy enough to open up - there's this ridge that sticks out, but I take it I should avoid doing it myself.
Thanks in advance!
