According to Jim Marss' 'who parked the Moon', it's older than our solar system.

Right, because he claimed the moon was a UFO 😗

Only if American Airlines promises not to get involved in commercial space travel. I just concluded a trip from the eastern US to the west coast. In the span of 5 days, AA cancelled two of my flights on short notice, substantially delayed a third flight, and lost one of my bags. Thanks to their incompetence, I lost a day of vacation and had to expend my own funds for a hotel, food and airport transportation in addition to having to burn an extra day of leave from work. Trying to get an AA rep on the phone or via chat is an hours long ordeal that ultimately gets you nowhere. Atrocious customer service.

As someone that frequently travels between coasts, that sounds like a total nightmare. I’m sorry to hear that. Seems like air travel is an absolute disaster these days…

A shortage of flight crews and employees appears to be the core issue across all carriers. Southwest cancelled one of my flights a few months ago which left me stranded in Florida for 3 days. The proffered excuse was “no crew available.”

Shit I don’t want to go to the shops half the time with the Mrs and it’s 2km away and takes 30 minutes…..

And another thing they have a Ocean, lakes and a bay and no friggen fish

------------------------------
How many oceans are on the Moon?

The traditional nomenclature for the Moon also includes one oceanus (ocean), as well as features with the names lacus ('lake'), palus ('marsh'), and sinus ('bay'). The last three are smaller than maria, but have the same nature and characteristics.

Maybe he did, Oliver Stone based some of his film JFK on 'crossfire...', Jim Marrs (sorry) could write.

I’m sorry to hear this. Are you not able to get compensation to pay for the hotel and transportation? There must be some consumer protection for things like this.

In the United States, airlines are not required to compensate passengers when flights are delayed or cancelled. Compensation is required by U.S. law only when passengers are “bumped” from a flight that is oversold. Otherwise, you’re at the mercy of the airline’s customer relations department and the vast majority of them are not generous with compensation.

Going to the Moon was symbolic for reaching for higher standards/ideals. According to Jim Marss' 'who parked the Moon', it's older than our solar system. Intelligent life existing on this planet whilst the Moon can make a perfect eclipse with the sun, odds being greater than the amount of grains of sand on this planet this occurred, I think it's a special place.

Nope, moon came from an impaction of the earth, chemical isotopes there and here are identical.

Science.

Early 1980s I had been in a windowless computer room in Detroit for a week and was on the Friday early evening flight back to Boston. It turned out to be overbooked by (perhaps) 3 seats so the cabin director offered $100 and overnight accommodation to take a flight on Saturday. Nobody moved. $250 + hotac. Nobody moved. $400 +. Nobody moved. $500 + hotel. A family of five stood up and dad said "We'll take it." Two and a half grand -- not bad 😁

Assuming you are correct about a chunk of earth orbiting this planet, intelligent life forming here and the thing being able to eclipse the sun perfectly while we discuss it -what are the odds?

Yep. Compensation for taking a voluntary “bump” can be quite lucrative especially when a flight is heavily oversold and nobody wants to get off. Compensation for involuntary bumps has also gotten more generous than it used to be. Unfortunately, cancelled or delayed flights are not considered to be events that are eligible for denied boarding compensation, whether voluntary or involuntary, so all you have to rely on is an airline’s good will. That generally doesn’t get you very far unless you have a really sympathetic case and a really good customer service representative.

Probably a lot higher than the likelihood of intelligent design.

For those that would pass on a moon trip, what if it included a complementary Speedmaster?

I am holding out for a trip to the sun. Will land at night. It may be too hot to land during day time.

if you land at night AND during winter, you should be fine

Call it Luny time perhaps…..

With dozens of lunar missions planned worldwide over the next decade, the European Space Agency (ESA) has proposed establishing a new time zone on the moon to ease communication in a landscape that will be increasingly filled with spacecraft.

The ESA announced efforts to standardize moon time on Monday night, though officials first raised the idea during a meeting of space leaders late last year
