Hey guys,

I just wanted to share with you pictures of Plitvice National Park that we visited yesterday. The last time I was here with school was about twenty years ago, so decided it was time for reintroduction.

A walk like this makes you forget about the city noise.

Boat ride

Risky but worth a shot 😎

And last but not least

If you are in Croatia this summer this is a great location to visit and kill a couple of hours of time. You won't regret it. Enjoy! 😀

I love seeing pics like this- thank you! There are so many stunning places on this planet that 99% of its inhabitants never see. This makes me want to take a vacation to Croatia.

Looks amazing. The wife and I are going to Croatia for the Summer. I am not sure where apart from the usual suspects. Fantastic photos.

I am not sure apart from Split, Zagreb and that bit that is in game of thrones. My wife is in charge of planning. My only job is to hand over my bank card. But I think both of us would enjoy this national park.

Send her link in my second post. This national park is in the middle of Zagreb and Split so you dont need to de-route your trip. Trust me you won't regret it! 😀

Thank you very much!
Photos are without any filters and taken with crappy old Huawei, so you can imagine how beautiful this place really is. 🥰

This was my most "sporty" watch when choosing one for this trip 🤔

Thanks for the link. I will forward it to her. We are looking forward to our first holiday for 16 months. We are also training for a marathon, so we might see a lot of sights while running past them.

We continued to travel a bit, so decided to share some beauties of Croatia with you. Currently we are in town Ston near Dubrovnik. A great destination for history lovers and gastro lovers, some of the best restaurants in the region are in Ston, don’t forget to try the oysters.

Here is a brief history and pictures. Another "just wow" moment 😀

Ston walls, after the Great Wall of China are the second LONGEST defensive walls in the world.

In 1333 the Republic of Dubrovnik bought the Pelješac peninsular from the Serbian Emperor Dušan. To keep their new property, the citizens of Dubrovnik immediately planned the construction of special fortifications in Ston and Mali Ston that both defended the towns and the peninsular of Pelješac.

The walls of Ston are the largest construction venture outside the Republic of Dubrovnik. They consist of walls of Ston and Mali Ston, the Great Wall, the three fortresses, ten circular, thirty-one square towers and a square and six semi-circular bastions. The height of the walls is between 5 and 10 metres. Today around four and a half kilometres in length they connect Ston and Mali Ston and are longest fortification systems in Europe.

My wife and I are currently in Dubrovnik. We had 4 nights in Split and will travel to Zadar on Saturday. Such a beautiful country. A few mini disasters on the way though. My suitcase broke. Going to find a rucksack instead, and I lost my glasses in Split. Finding an optician is not a problem but finding one who can replace my glasses in a few days is a bit of an issue.

On the plus side , while in Hvar, the restaurant manager noticed my Speedie Ultraman. We had a nice chat about watches and he gave us a beer on the house. The food was fantastic, but it was even better to have a chat with someone who is interested in watches.

If I posted this yesterday we could've meet, drink and talk watches. Unfortunatelly, tomorrow I'm going to visit my familyn on Korčula island and stay there for a whole week, otherwise would be in Dubrovnik with my watches 🤔

I'm glad you are enjoying your stay here and hope you won't get into another disaster 😗
