    Fantastic piece.

When it comes to big game, however, my budget limits my hunting to Longines.

And whenever I see these Omegas, I feel like Sofia Loren

In any case, at the end of the day, neither Sofia nor myself can complaint too loud Conquest black 1.JPG .

This is what you can get for that money in Longines land.

Had my eyes on it too - pretty annoying you guys couldnt stay away, grrrrr ::rant: As ConElPueblo says, it's $2400 including the 20% auction house fees - strong price, but also a very nice watch. Congrats:thumbsup:

You have to add 20% premium on top of the hammer price. Not sure of the shipping cost to Norway, but it's about $100 to North America.

    Still a nice watch though.

    Black dial version of mine!
Exact indices and cross hair dial. What reference is it? Serial range?

A reasonably buy these days for a black dialled fully original 168.005, particularly for such a pristine case. Look at the beauty of those chamfers on the lugs, so sharp you cut cut paper with them. Dial is excellent. Wear with care so as not to compromise those sharp edges. :)

Yes, more than reasonable for that beautiful 167.005 that doesn't come up often (way less often than a black 168.005). It's just quite far, about $1000 out, from what the OP thought he had won it for.

whoops I called it a 168 instead of a 167. I guess the OP may have got a fright, but hopefully a pleasant fright when he realised he had a 2500 dollar watch. Saw one of these go at a Syndey auction of the equivalent of over 3500 recently.

Thanks a bunch all of you! Nice comments! I didn't know it was that rare! I only wanted the watch because I liked it and I have an obsession on vintage timepieces with black dial. I have a Glycine Airman from 65, LeCoultre Powermatic from 56 and a late 60s Movado Museum all with black dials. Not a big collection but will be nicer with a Vintage Omega Connie black dial watch!

For some reason it was relisted. This time it went for $3600  - must be the power of OF :)
