..... and got nicked for my trouble:


The first squirrel that ate our of my hand is in the background (near my legs). He was pretty smooth and had the motion down pat. This guy in the video though..... um, not so much. When he knocked the nut out of my hand, he didn't see it fall at first and latched onto my fingers as I pulled away. Man, the dude needs a manicure! Couldn't believe he drew blood, but that's my own damn fault for pushing my luck with a n00b squirrel. Actually, it's my wife's fault for making me do it a second time with the good squirrel (she was too slow on the camera) and another with this guy above while the smooth squirrel ate his prize.

I know you can get shot in NJ, but do you get a free rabies shot in NJ?

I knew that New Yorkers are openly hostile to Jerseyites, but I think that's taking it a bit too far.

And Jim is right, you may need to get checked out.

If you were wearing your Flyers jacket, the squirrel might have taken the whole finger.

Especially if it was the middle one! 😁

That EXACT topic came up as we were leaving - I told the couple we were with I spared them of any potential trouble by switching to the Phillies jacket instead of the Orange & Black. The only reason was the potential for rain. The Phillies jacket has a hood while the Flyers jacket doesn't. Come March I'll tell you some interesting stories about Washington DC and Baltimore when I wore that same Flyers jacket years ago.

Smartest thing I ever did was marry a nurse. 😉 I got a quick once over when we got home, with some kinda goo on the minuscule wound just to be safe. Windy naturally made a joke that a 2 pound friendly fur ball is the only living creature she's ever seen draw blood from me despite several 200 pound 2 legged animals trying. 😜

I've heard it takes two weeks for a rabies shot to take effect. Rabies is something you will not recover from, if you are so unfortunate! Do it now!

Hahaha! When my wife irritates me, I remind her I've had a longer relationship with a pair of shoes than her. It always causes the smirk, but it usually shuts her up.
