Won this at an auction and it is in better condition than i was expecting. Its an Apollo XI 20th anniversary, first speedy pro for me and i love it. I have a 60th anniversary speedy, but already prefer this one.

I have a Speedmaster 345.0808 which I suspect is almost the same watch as yours. Mine is one of 4,000, and not numbered with a limited edition number. I acquired mine in 1990. One significant difference with mine has the clear sapphire back. It has the gold plated calibre 863 movement.

Wow you got the full set congrats! Very special. I think the numbered xxxx/2000 were US release and the 4000 unnumbered like @Canuck above were rest of world.

Thanks! I think that I got a pretty good deal on it, so i cant complain. More than happy with it, wears way more comfortable than i thought it would. Running a little fast so im sure a service is in order.

Great looking watch! I'm currently hunting for a nice one of these or a 3592.50. Expect I'll be paying a little but more than you did in 1990!

I was working for the second largest Omega dealer in Canada in 1990. They asked me NOT to wear Rolex watches at work! I had several Omegas at that time, but they offered me such a deal on the Omega of my choice, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to buy the Speedmaster! Such a deal! If I recall correctly, the MSRP on that watch was $2,995.00 (Cdn.) at that time. Modesty dictates I can’t tell you what I paid!

Lots of things were cheaper in 1990, Apple stock was $0.35/share. 😁

And you’ve also had the pleasure and enjoyment that being custodian to the watch for a third of a century brings!!
