Great to see no polishing was done.

You dials look really clean. I’m particularly interested if your watchmaker was able to clean up the honeycomb/linen dial.

The 2577 dial is exactly as I found it. My watchmaker serviced the movement, installed an OEM crystal and removed oxidation from the hands and stabilized the lume, but that was the extent of the work. Case and crown were untouched other than cleaning.

Lovely watches but who ever has tried to touch up the writing has made a mess looks horrendous. Should have left it alone with the wearing/ faded look. Just my opinion.

Touch up the writing? Not sure what you're referring to, but none of these dials have been refinished. If your referring to the Seamaster dial text, this is a honeycomb dial and the text does not look as crisp as it would on an enamel dial simply because the dial is textured.

Maybe it's just the photos but looks like somebody tried to go over the writing with a small paintbrush.

I think that what you're seeing is a 65 year old patinated dial.

Perhaps it’s because of the lighting/camera, those dial prints look horrendously deformed

Ok, here’s a straight on photo of the dial in natural light at 10x magnification. Looks fine to me.

Here are both Constellation dials at 10x in natural light. Again, I don't see anything here other than natural patination.
