Its a tough one as some of us in different time zones did not see what had gone too far. Hopefully anyone who pushed the envelope beyond humour into what the majority consider bad taste or offending public decency, or breaking the law has been informed. The mods cant be expected to watch all the time and we get a lot of leeway on topics for a watch forum so we should all respect that.

·Many enjoy this thread, and I suggested a “header” which appears at the top of each page, reminding posters what goes, and what doesn’t. Don’t know if that even can be done.

·As we look to remove bad stuff from the net (noting some bots and disrupters put bad stuff up deliberately these days to stop us fair minded folks communicating normally:0) can we do anything about the fake adds. Is it google or the interweb or ? facilitating possible scams….
I saw this one today and clicked through from OF just to check it out. Another get poor quick scheme ….
It’s funny how some things just get normalised and enabled by big tech…and we are not outraged ;0)

Let’s face it: this is a watch forum. The Jokes thread has a lot of positive attributes for everyone, but it really is too much for the Moderators to be on top of every post, checking what’s appropriate, and what’s not.
I don’t know the technology enough on this forum to determine if a “header,” can be attached to the top of each page, that outlines the parameters of joke posting.
In lieu of that, what about the regular joke posters agree, as a group, with the Moderators, on a list of rules and regulations for posting, that we cut and paste from a template to the top of each new page as it occurs. Anyone can do it, it’s whomever sees the new page first.
I think this would cut down significantly on the occurrence of inappropriate posts. What say you all?
