JN Shapiro and Elgin

Part of the joys of commissioning a watch from a talented independent maker is the ability to echo existing pieces in my collection. On the left is my Elgin pocket watch from 1879, with its engine turned caseback by Jeannot & Shiebler, New York, NY. On the right is my Josh Shapiro from 2020 engine turned by JN Shapiro and hand engraved by Artur Akmaev. Both are made in America.
