This watch is an amazing piece of history. Elgin Trench Watch circa 1916 with rare “red XII” dial. Original crystal, original crown, original dial. Sterling .925 case made by Keystone watch case company. This watch was acquired from the gentleman that wrote the book ELGIN TRENCH WATCHES OF THE GREAT WAR. it has been cleaned and serviced and had a new mainspring installed. It has been tested on a Timegraph 5000 for accuracy. I can tell you it keeps absolutely AMAZING TIME (as good as my Explorer). The strap is an era correct Kitchener Strap from Prairie Flower Leather Company sewn on a vintage WWI sewing machine. The crown has a nice pop when pulled. The gunmetal blue hands are striking in their beauty. Look at the pictures. Look at that MOVEMENT! This watch deserves to be worn and has been in my drawer since I purchased it in April. A piece of history like this need to be worn. I’m selling this amazing watch and hope the person that buys it gives it the wrist time it deserves. Price $765.00

Lol. It’s a size 0’s. It much more beautiful than the pictures. It’s a shame really because I have had it since April and worn it twice. I just got a vintage Rolex and a new Explorer and between these two, nothing makes it to my wrist. You can PM me and I can send more pics. The movement is simply stunning.

Looks like 36MM + Crown? I don’t know what size zero means.

I have similar watches with 0 movements but case sizes vary from 32mm-35, hence why I asked. The 32’s look best on the Kitchener Straps like above (which is how I have mine), but larger ones can also sport a 2-piece strap and look very smart directly on the wrist.

I believe it’s 34. I will check tomorrow. I left it at the office this afternoon.

Had I come across this prior to loading up my shopping cart with specialized aviation tooling yesterday, I may have snagged it from you! Nice piece

I wish you had too because I absolutely hate not wearing it. It really deserves to be on someone’s wrist that knows this watch and appreciates the history. It will be almost impossible to find one in this shape. I just checked it.... it is 10 seconds slow... AFTER 3 DAYS. I am amazed by this watch but between my Explorer which seems to never make it off my wrist, my vintage gold Date, my pie pan Omega Constellation and my vintage Seamaster; this watch will never make it to my wrist and that’s a damn shame.
