Don't worry, my kids' school fees will ensure I have to carry on working for the next 240 months anyway...
I've seen modern version of this triple date in a pre-owned watch shop here yesterday. They asked USD 5,500 for a 6 year old. A stunning piece............however they don't offer those 240 installment option , so I'll pass....
That price isn't so outrageous by European standards. But I'm not keen on that dial configuration - give me the classic centred day and date any time
I've tried on a few of those JLC's and didn't like how thick the 37 mm wide cased models were. Then I tried the ultra-thin Master Moon 39 mm and it was too much dial. If they had made the Master Moon 37 mm wide I'd own it already.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. Your wrists are the right size for about a million watches I could never wear The Master Moon 39 is next on my hit list.
Go try it - it wears MUCH larger than the 39 mm size suggests. With a thin bezel and lots of blank dial it looked much to big for me, and was so flat it didn't sit on my wrist well. A larger and/or flatter wrist, say 7.25" or bigger, would support this better.
Well that's no problem, my wrists are 7 1/2 inches. I've tried the Master Moon on four or five times now & it's the only watch my wife keeps encouraging me to buy
Utterly and completely agree. In my mind, a quiet and thoughtful JLC designer came up with a watch of sublime elegance and beauty in perfect balance. And them some Neandertal from marketing came along and said "People want big watches. Add 2 or 3mm to the diameter." The designer was removed from the Grand Maison in a strait jacket shortly afterwards.
