I would be interested to know as I've been asked the same question before.

What I can say is that I've owned a few similar JB Champion bracelets of the type pictured below (similar links but different style end links) and they've always had the same number of links, which could suggest that they can't be removed or are at least very tricky to remove.

I suppose the length of the bracelet can be adjusted to a small degree by adjusting the clasp, which may be enough for a lot of people.

Thanks @Mazoue

Yours is even cooler as you have a signed clasp and curved endlinks

There must be a solution - I have already adapted the clasp but that's not enough sadly

Please help us 😀

Yes, I think these were designed for and sold with Polerouters (see ad below).

Apologies if you are a watchmaker or if this is a blindingly obvious suggestion but have you tried asking a watchmaker?

Very cool ad

Yes that's the next step but they are all closed on Mondays here and I thought that maybe someone here would be able to help

Hello All,

I am the happy new owner of the Polerouter posted by Mikawatches at the beginning of this thread.

Here is what I did to remove links on my JB Champion bracelet. The bracelet is actually composed with links wrapped by a row of clips, one put next to others :

1/ first, remove the first clip on the clasp side, by gently lifting one end with an adapted tool (a small flat screwdriver for exemple)
2/ then remove the following clips (as much as needed to reduce length) by sliding them along the bracelet
3/ once you can see the flat links, unfold the link and remove the necessary length to shorten the bracelet.
4/ reassemble all the clips on the bracelet by sliding them along the links and lock gently the last one with a pliers.

Sorry, I didn’t take any picture when I did this, but here is a picture of the parts, hope this can help.

Please ask, if i can be of any further help.
By the way, this was my first post on OF. Merci !

Simon

There is a vintage advertisement for a Polerouter Date that is wearing one:
https://universalgenevepolerouter.com/vintage-advertising/
This one has curved endlinks, and I think the clasp should also be signed.
They might have been only for North/South American markets (made in the USA after all...the majority of advertisements with bracelets were Gay Freres), but this is just a guess.

The advert is posted above in this thread. It's in Spanish I think, which suggests that either it was available in Spain too or perhaps Spanish speaking countries in central/south America.

@moonphase and @MikaWatches - I think I have one of these lying around somewhere which I don't use at all. What value would you say it has? Got it in a trade at some point.

ConElPueblo -- I'm looking to acquire one of these UG signed JB champion bracelets for my Polerouter date so if yours fits that bill and is in good condition please DM me as I'd be interested!

Sorry, quoted the two above as they both showed the non-signed version.
