Sorry to show my ignorance but what model is the speedy with the red bezel?
I want one.
part of the set of Limited Edition Speedies for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics... Japan exclusive, so you'll likely have to import it

I can assure you that @Meme-Dweller isn’t overstating this issue at all. I had the same issue, so much so that I did an immediate swap of the clasp to get more extension and even contemplated swapping the caseback to either sapphire or just the regular version; I might still do this.
Oh my lord!

Perhaps some sort of tape over the caseback might be in order.

Are any of these pieces still available at the American boutiques?

I’m at Tokyo Haneda duty free - the red one (975/2020) is about 4,400 GBP
bet you can't feel the painful caseback with that sticker on

That’s bad. How about you create a new thread, “Which Speedmaster gives you the most pain?”

That would be the one that costs the most.

A high quantity of pleasure offsets high financial pain so it nets out. A bleeding wrist is just pain.

With olympics postponed from 2020 to 2021, any effect on this LE?

Or opportunity to make another 2021 LE?

Levity aside, stay safe everyone.

Resale prices should go up now - it'll be like the 220 bezel. 😉

The Games will be held in 2021, but they’ll still be named/known as “Tokyo 2020”...

The caseback discussion is befuddling: I’ve got one of these I wear regularly and have never had any problem with the caseback - not even painless “imprinting”, much less discomfort.

What could cause this discrepancy in experiences?

Everyone certain they don’t have a metals irritation skin condition (including SS trace elements like copper)?

Can only concur. Donˋt want to question the credibility of the two guys that have the issue, but for me it’s not a problem at all fortunately. Have the panda and the blue dial and love everything about them.

Well I suppose it’s possible but seems unlikely as I don’t have this issue with any of my other Omegas. I have no idea what sort of alloys are being used in each though.

Copper is a more common irritant, which is used in SS...

In any event, as said above by @griffith_500 , I dont intend at all to question it so much as to express the befuddlement that there appears to be this spectrum.
