Came across this beaut in Tokyo. Price seemed reasonable. What do you think? (I’m not buying this btw.)

There is a thread or two about the Olympic watches...

What was a 'reasonable price'? They seem to sell for $7k-$8k USD.

@BlackTalon it was about 5,900 USD. If I had the money I would have bought it for myself.

If anyone is visiting Tokyo, happy to share where I found this watch along with others (attached)

Probably the most attractive Omega that I own, no regrets.
It’s beautiful. Wish I could own it 🙁

I had the red one and although the watch was mesmerizing and cool to look at, the caseback is horrendously uncomfortable. It made me its ho every time I wore it by branding me. It was so painful that I had to get rid of it. Wearing the bracelet looser did not help.. It's so freakin' sharp in the back.

Why couldnt they just give it a sapphire back with a sticker on the inside like they did for the Olympics AT? I opened it up and the watch is using the sapphire sandwich case/spacer with no iron dust cover. If someone wants to mod it, they can just get the sapphire caseback and it should be "plug and play".

I very much prefer the 3572.50 I currently have. Thinner, lighter, and supremely comfortable. Pretty strange for essentially the same watch.

Your skin must be super sensitive or you are really cranking that baby down, I've never had any issues wearing any watch with any kind of embossed back.

It's exceptionally sharp. I can't explain it. Running my fingers over it hurts. I've had the embossed back of a 3570.50 moonwatch and the 2500 Seamaster 300m and I never got a seahorse print. I wore it super loose to see if I still had a problem to the point of the watch head rolling down to the underside of my wrist and it still hurts.

I can assure you that @Meme-Dweller isn’t overstating this issue at all. I had the same issue, so much so that I did an immediate swap of the clasp to get more extension and even contemplated swapping the caseback to either sapphire or just the regular version; I might still do this.

Interesting info on the spacer and sapphire caseback. Any idea what the Omega part number for that caseback is?

Did you take any photos of it opened up?
