Hi guys,

I am looking to buy this Jaeger clock, I have a few desk clocks from the brand already.

My research shows this must have been an airplane or car clock from the 30-40s. The movement is 8 days manual winding. It is in working condition and at $300 looks like a decent deal.

What concerns me is the lack of central seconds hand; the examples I’ve seen online do have one.

I’d appreciate any additional information and opinions on the clock.

Definitely missing the seconds hand, you can see the post where it's supposed to be mounted.
There was a similar one at Bonhams last year that was also missing the seconds hand.

Have you seen a comparable example that has a second hand? All of the examples that I am finding on Google do not have a second hand. To me, it seems unlikely that all of these examples have had their second hands removed.

I would be interested to see photos of these examples.

You may be right, except for the serious aviation versions I didn't see any like the OPs with seconds hands.
I just based my comment on the fact that there appears to be a centre post where a hand could be mounted.

In any event, I'd have no problem grabbing the OPs example.

Thank you for the input, guys!
I’ll probably buy it, given the price and decent condition.
