Like all anecdotal historical 'evidence' for these things it's best never to say "never".

I have a long time mil collector friend who was chatting with a former Herstmocceaux watch repairer who remembers actually applying the T's with something he called a Squib, apparently. So who knows? I am in the art conservation world and to be honest the messy T looks more like something clumsily squashed on with some kind of implement rather than applied with a paint brush.

I am very happy to have it as an oddity and have a non circle T MoD redialled Omega '53 to go along with it....lol.

Very interesting! I agree with @Fish70 , I started this hobby way too late.. But I can imagine nobody back then expected such high prices in the future.

I don't care about reselling a box of them for a profit. I just want one Mk11 for the price of a new Hamilton field watch 馃榿

Owned a Mark XV for some months and I was always fascinated by the Mark XI, congrats to the opener and it was great to hear about the NOS examples auctioned off.. what a time to be in the market!

I don鈥檛 have much to add but thanks all for sharing your incredible pics and knowledge.

I would eventually like to add an XI and this thread is a great resource.

Cheers!

Here is my Squib MK11. I like it just the way it is. I'll never know which artist put it together. And I don't really care...

I have wondered, is the hooked 7 really less common?
