For sale today a IWC from the 50's/60's featuring the Pellaton winding system which was a new and extremely efficient movement system for perptual automatic wristwatch movements. This innovative movement was patented by IWC in 1950 and we saw the first mass production of these watches in 1952. The Pellaton winding system is still used in IWC watches today and has been improved upon ever since. There were 91.200 calibers 853 produced by IWC. This particular IWC in 35mm stainless steel case (without crown) is in good condition showing some light wear from use. The unsigned crown is original and era correct for the watch (I think). The crystal remains in excellent condition showing no crazing. The lovely dial is in good condition. The original stainless steel dauphine style hands complete the overall stylistic presence of the watch. The watch keeps good time with a good powerreserve but the service history is unknown. Price: EUR 1500. I'm a longtime seller on chrono24.
