Check here in the sale section and chrono24. They come up fairly often but if you want a mint example you may need to wait a while for one

Edited:

Watch vault has one right now, no box no papers, and the price is....... well, their smoking something Haha. Says negotiable though
Watch box prices are stupid.

That's salt in the wound

But just keep looking daily with the search tools cause when I was ready to pull the trigger I searched hard for 4 months and only found 6 and of those only 2 were in good condition.

Manage to hunt down one, without a bracelet though. Which I hope to find later.
No need of service, case has seen some life. Biggest issue is a small damage on a lug. Although I am quite confident that can be reworked.

That’s not that bad! How much you managed to find it for?

Deal is not closed yet, but we are talking about 2400€ shipped, (2650$) - and since I am located in EU, no additional costs. US prices have been 2800-3200$ + 20% VAT when the watch hits German customs. So closer 3500$ for me. Most of the cases these 36 are located US or Asia. Don´t know why.

So this might be it. Kind of tough decision since I have been looking for it so long without luck, but condition could be better + missing bracelet. Although bracelet is easier to find later compared the watch. It would be a daily beater so scratches here and there does not matter too much but on the other hand I am quite OCD person. 😗 First world problems.

Another ding on bezel.

Not terrible, but makes me hesitate a bit. Pro watchmaker can fix it with laser if needed. Yap, not US - Finnish guy living in Germany.

Bezel can easily be removed and like you said you can laser weld and fix the case if you wanna bring it back to new. I ask where you are cause I have a spare bracelet but I hate shipping outa the states haha. Sorry

Most 36mm Railmasters are in Asia due to the fact wrists there tend to be small. I found a full mint set in Singapore but after shipping taxes / import fees etc was going to be about $3700 so decided to keep looking. Found another one in Europe head only without band and was about $3100.

That price is not that bad considering how hard they are to get and those small dings can be corrected later (bezel can be replaced, case can be laser welded).

If it were hard to get then I'd go for it but I got it on my wife's quartz 36mm aquaterra and it shows that it was buffed. He'd be better off ordering a new one or going used locally. they arent rare Haha.

Not that rare, managed to source the bracelet from eBay.co.uk for 180€ shipped, not too bad imho. Railmaster should arrive on Wednesday - can't wait. ::psy:: does anyone know what size of spring bars I should get? 19mm, d1.8mm?

That's a real good price on the bracelet! The springbars that comes from factory are indeed 19 MM and diameter of 1.8 MM. Congrats on the purchase, looking forward to seeing wrist pictures! 😀

Tried with 19mm, but seems to be a bit too tight fit. I was not able to snuggle with normal springbar tool - 18mm might be better.

First wrist shot. Amazing piece. 🥰

There few things I wouldn’t do to get my hands on one of these. They prove to he pretty elusive, especially in the UK. It looks absolutely amazing, fills the same hole as a 36mm Explorer but with a little more charm 😉

Definitely more charm. Been on my wrist nonstop about a week, this might be a keeper.

i was going to say the 39mm looked like a nice fit from the pics. what did you dislike about it? nothing more than just liking smaller watches?

The 39 mm did fitted me:

but I do prefer the fit of the smaller 36 mm size on my non- flat / roundish shaped wrist, as it sits better:

than, for example, a larger watch like the speedmaster (which is 48 mm L2L):

i can't even tell which is the 36 and which is the 39 on your wrist.

the only time i see the size difference is when the two watches are next to one another.

does this watch wear big?

what is the 36 and 39 L2L?
