·Hi everyone, I have been looking at the forum for a few weeks now and have seen some great advice that helped me purchase a vintage seamster. This weekend however whilst doing a clear out at my grandparents house in Ireland I came across a box full of watches one of which was an Omega megasonic 720hz. After doing some research I think this the 1973 release and from what I can gather was a bit ahead of its time as far as electric watches go. I think this would have been my late uncles watch as he was the go to guy for repairs in the local village. I suppose now I am really after some advice as to what to do next. I would love to get the watch working again so any help on any specialists in the uk would be greatly appreciated. I know these megasonics were not produced for long and the micrometer can be tricky to repair so I am guessing there might not be too many specialists around. I am definately going to keep the watch as I am sure it is a sign that I am going to get hooked on vintage omegas.
thanks,
Chris
( i suppose another question I should ask, Is it real?, I never knew there were so many vintage fakes out there )
