Polish up that check book big shot. I got two seamasters with your name on them! I'll dig them out and take pics for ya later today after I bring our kid to her orthodontist appointment. I also got a big size NOS '60's manual wind generic Swiss jobbie that only shows 24 hr time and has a rotating bezel for $50 that will really blow your skirt up 😀
Lol! Kids to the orthodontist....you’re going to need to sell more than a few Seamaster’s 😲

I know it’s quartz, but this watch ticks off a lot of boxes for me. Relatively modern size at a around 37 mm, nice dial, Seiko day-date with Spanish language day wheel, all for around $40.

$3 U.S. at the tent sale near the bridge, across from the old mill in Madison. Nothing special, but I set the time at 2:20 this afternoon and nearly 6 hours later, it is keeping it.

What do you mean nothing special?!?! That’s a lovely Elgin and well worth at least 10x what you paid!😉
Seriously, that may win the prize for cheapest to nicest ratio.

Thank you for saying so. I did tell my wife and daughter it would be $30 on eBay. I should also admit, it came on an old expandable band and I put it on a leather band I had laying around. (Another sign I am addicted and now a complete nut job.....extra bands and bracelets laying around, waiting for watches) And I was wondering if there was going to be a winner declared from all this.....not that I am competitive or anything. LOL

These are my buys today. Both came to £38 + auction fees. The ladies is a nice Mido, 18k with enameling (broken hour hand), and the mans is a Jupiter. Never heard of the brand, but leaf hands with subsecconds is a classic look, and the case looks in reasonable condition.
Dibs on that Mido! Is the case signed?

Tent sale? You left the house? Is that cheating?

Yeah- that thing is spectacular. Could you source hands for it? Sorry @Lucasssssss - we are already planning @Syrte ’s reacquisition of your Mido.

Ill have to have a look at the case. I didn't really have much of a plan for it when I bought it, and more than happy to forward it on to a good home.

Come to think of it I might also actually have a 1930s hour hand which fits, as I bought some from a watchmaker a while back.

Here are some quick phone photos of the watch, just taken on my phone, more to come on a proper camera later.

The enamelling is in really nice condition, and case signed Mido too, didn't catch it on my phone, but the blue enamel numerals have a really nice shade to them.

If @Syrte doesn’t take it, I will!

Very cool, if you have a matching hand that would be so nice! Sending you a pm 😉

Yea that's my neck of the woods. When I first read this thread I was about to hop in the car and head to the nearest bridge and look for tents 😁
