Help. I bought this about a year and am now selling it. Someone on Ebay has stated it is a fake. Hoping member can decide. Bought before i realized how good some fakes are. Last thing I want to do is sell a fake....hoping I wasn't screwed....thank for any help.
Hey, I’m sorry, but it’s fake. Look at what I circled on this movement image provided by Omega, and look at what I circled on your image. Look at the size, spacing, and positioning to and of the surrounding jewels. This is a big tell. Look at the movement screw under the L in BLACK. The movement decoration is, not the same on yours. There are many other tells as well.
Hello there, I have just started to fish for Seiko SNZH diver. Does this movement looks like genuine Seiko 7s36C to you? Thanks for feedback in advance!
I can't answer your query, but seems a lot of the tells are more obvious with the Seiko fakes, generally they're a readily available lower-end Seiko movement in a fake case with the rotor decorated to mimic the higher end one.
Hey all, I’m new here and I was wondering what you thought of this unit here? I’ve done some research and a lot of comparisons, even ran the number. I’m in the process of purchasing and would love some input. Thanks in advance.
Thank you for your feedback and actually I have the same impression. I have compared this movement with what I could find and it looks genuine to me...
OBVIOUS FAKE Omega Seamaster 1200 Ploprof on Ebay. . . . I have reported it and informed the seller MONTHS ago...... it's still up. BEWARE: https://www.ebay.com/itm/OMEGA-SEAM...216118&hash=item3b4b03388d:g:dhwAAOSw0GVfF7z8Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Ok. 1. The watch upside down (I guess you COULD have someone do this.) 2. Date window is WHITE? WRONG. 3. Date disc is oriented as if it should be @ 3. (Real is oriented as if the date should be at 6) 4. Applied Logo has little toes? WRONG. 5. Markers are filled with lume by a 3 year old? So sloppy. 6. Seconds hand is all wrong. 7. Orange "Seamaster" on dial is totally faded almost YELLOW. 8. Bracelet is all wrong. Not even close. 9. Even the hands are proportioned wrong. Look how LONG the Hour hand tip is? Look how Short the minute hand neck is before it widens into the lume area?... just all out of whack. 10. Not even discussing the delaminating bezel *(I know this CAN happen on the real thing but come on... it's horrid) 11. Look at how SMALL the orange Pip is on the Fake. 12. Helium valve looks surface-mounted (Glued) on. (Have to check other photos) Compare to a Genuine below.
Real or fake? It says automatic but it's hand wound. Also doesn't say "waterproof" on the bottom of the case
Hello everybody, what do the "connaisseurs" think of this Speedmaster? Thank for all your help. Greetings
This looks good. Most Fakes have either a frozen 12hr counter, a 12hr counter that is actually a GMT subdial and moves with the time.. Spacing on the subdials seems right, fakes have a wider spacing and it eats into the 3/9 Lume markers. Have the seller "Test" the chronograph function and take a picture of the subdial hands at 1hr 15ish. to be 100% sure. Usually fakes use the only widely available chinese manual wind chronograph (Seagull 1901) same as found in the Alpha brand chronograph watches. See on this "Speedmaster" looking watch, how wide the chronograph dials are? Also see how the 10:10 position of the hands makes the "24" hour subdial read 10pm? (22) ??? Real speedmaster manual winds have tightly clustered subdials in comparison and a 12hr counter that will show 0/12 at any time.
