Hey guys

I just got the cheapest Speedmaster ever on ebay. doesn't sound good right? I know.

But paypal protects and I've not paid yet. these are the only real photos i have.

Is it a fake as I suspect?
Many thanks

Lol fake, just a quick look at the bezel... It's not supposed to have triangles below the numbs but straight lines.

Had met a gentlemen selling this yesterday and it appeared that the thing was genuine however the date refused to change so I'm thinking there was something wrong with the 1128 movement. The time was set to safe date change hours (not between 8pm and 2am) but using the hour hand jumping it simply would not change the date to the 6th. Then I tried the the long way with the 24h hand going all the way around past 12 multiple times. Afterwards I checked photos from the listing and the date was still at the 5th so it hasn't changed since he listed for sale. The serial engraving looked a little shallow but the dial and other details looked perfect. How does it look to you?

The EBay listing has the movement as Quartz. Were there any quartz Speedmasters produced other than that one year in 1977?

Hey everyone,

Thoughts on this Sochi 2014 planet ocean?

Up for auction online - The dial looks fine, from a quick comparison to models for sale online - but the case back just doesn't look right.

Thoughts are appreciated!
Ed

Edit: I think it is fake, will give it a miss - looks identical to some of the fakes available online.

Hi all here is my contribution that I came across on ‘gumtree ‘ as they say buyer beware! Just for starters, bracket engraving , case back logo ( one of the worst I’ve ever seen ) and the dial, hands, markers etc etc where do you begin ? Oh and there’s no box or paper ! Surprise Suprise ! Lol

Guys-any opinion on this 9300 movement on this apparent '57 ?

The movement looks the same as on my 57 broad arrow co-ax. I think. But the serial number on the bottom of the lug is upside down compared to mine. No idea if that is an indicator of anything other than Omega isn't consistent with how it does the serials across its range of products.

Hey guys,

what do you think about that watch?
Seamaster 300M from 1996
Ref 2851.80.08 (originally that was the one with the blue leather strap) Ref 2551.80.00 was with steelbracelet.
Serialnumber is on one the lugs and is the same as on the Omega warranty card

But iam a bit uncertain about the dials (on other pictures i found they are always hollow) - havent seen them on any other Seamaster 300M yet.

PS: the dial is blue - just seems a bit dark because of the light

Big thanks and best Regards

Interesting dial.
Im not sure if the dial and hands have been swapped or just the caseback. Either way it's a crossbreed.

That 121212 guy is a regualr Dr Frankenstien. He has a massive flow of spotless vintage watches, far too good to be true, IMO.
