Its the wg version of apollo 11 25th anniversary.
(The dial was swapped, as the old one got a brownish coloration).

This is mine for comparison. It has also been polished, but I think this may be par for the course for these. I will try to post some more pictures later tonight.

I am no expert but also think it has been polished.
But I think it has been done well and the fact that you can’t obviously tell is a good thing.

Puuuhhh, yes thought the same. The corners looked polish. Anyway the watch was sold for 11.5k +7.7% + 25% hammer = 15.26k CHF.
And the next bid I would have had to do was 12.5k.
I absolutely love the White Gold Speedy. But as it has no papers, no box and is polished I decided to stop at 11k (respectively 15.26k all in).
No I will have to wait months until another one poops up :(.
In the meantime I can at least enjoy my other 4 steel Speedys ;).

Your username is interesting as it's similar to a neighbor my relatives had on the left coast. Is R your first initial?

Was born and grew up in Horgen :D. So, yes.
Btw, how is it possible to change the name on the Forum. Did not thought to much about it in the beginning, but it’s quite obvious who I am with this alias.

of course, now I have also to ask who this relative of yours is :)

Not a relative but my relative's neighbor up in Benedict Canyon. His name was Rudi Altobelli and I actually have 2 of his watches.

Ah ok, so another R Altobelli than :D.
I thought with “left coast”, you meant left side of the Zürich lake.
