I am interested in buying an omega but thr guy has no papers as it was his dads
On the lug at 7 o clock, there are 6 numbers (sn) 809988
Can someone tell me if this is an accurate sn for a seamaster 300 (black bezel white face)

You are going to have to offer a lot more info than that if you want serious help. At the very least photos. All I can tell you from the crumb you have offered so far is that no it is not a correct serial. It should have 8 digits. That is more likely an error on your or his part rather than a true indication of a fake.

Well as I say serials on these have 8 digits, you can see the ghost of 2 further numbers in your pic but I have to point out there are a few things that make me wary of that watch even based on those terrible pics. The lume pip and quality of the number stamping look off, that and the fact 2 digits are not visible. If you can post some full size shots of the front and back, you may be a definitive answer.

As it is, buy the seller and if it is too cheap it may be for a reason. On balance I think it is a wrong'un.

The serial number in the picture provided is a sloppy job, seemingly done by an amateur on an engraving machine. Doesn’t Omega do those serial numbers with a laser? I just check my Speedmaster, and the under side of the lug was engraved by laser, and the s# has 8 digits. The subject watch is not genuine in my opinion.

It's pretty obviously a fake, as others have noted.

It almost looks like the serial number has been overstamped, like there are numbers below what is visible.

Just look at the quaility of the back of the end link. That was enough for me.

As real as Nancy Pelosi's face.

Curious if there is a difference between Botox faces and American politician faces just in general. Even the younger people seem to be doing it!
