Omega ref.2846. Is this watch worth it?

Hi everyone. You may have seen another post I made about wanting a new original dial for this watch.

Seller wants 500$ USD for this watch in this current state.

From what I can tell.
-Dial looks like it's been redone.
- Watch has not been serviced

I do like black dials on Omegas. So I do like it. But I'm not happy with the redial. So I would have to source a new dial for this watch which won't be an easy task.

My question is. Is it worth the gamble or should I walk away.

P.S. my apologies for the bad photos. I haven't bought the watch yet so these are just what the seller showed me.

With this type of pictures, there is not much you can assess. Yes, the font looks dodgy. There is no minute mark it seems. There is no Swiss Made, or at least not visible here. There is a hole for lume on the indices, but seemingly no lume on the hands. Plus the crown/stem. The case looks polished, although hard to tell to which degree. And no movement pic. In my opinion it’s a possible gamble at 200$ but there isn’t much upside at 500$.

Are you particular about wanting this reference?

If not, there is at least one lovely black dial Omega in the Private Watch Sales forum.
