Is this Speedmaster pulsation bezel real?

Hi all,

About ten years ago, I bought a Speedmaster 145.022-71 with a pulsation bezel. I did not know a lot about watches back then, so I compared the bezel to other Speedmasters' (with Tachimetre bezels 馃う) and thought it was fake. I spent good money to source a proper vintage Tachimetre bezel and have it replace the pulsation bezel.

Fast forward to yesterday: cleaning out my collection of watch parts, I came across said pulsation bezel which I had totally forgotten all about. I am by no means an Omega specialist - far from it - but I think it looks very much real. Obviously, I compared it to quite a few images of other pulsation bezels and my conclusion at the moment is that is indeed real and not aftermarket or fake!

As there is so much Omega knowledge concentrated in this forum, I would love if you could help me verify this. The attached photo is decent, but please let me know if you need a different angle.

Thanks a lot!

Oooofffff. That鈥檚 does indeed look like the real deal. Vintage example as well, as opposed to the more modern service item.

I鈥檝e had an eye out for one of these for a few years with no luck, so that is a great find and worth a pretty penny. I鈥檇 be putting that right back into the watch from whence it came.

Congratulations, you can trade that for a Speedmaster. Likely something from the late 60s. These are worth a pretty penny.

If you will sell me one in this condition for this price (cheaper than a DON in this condition not long ago) I鈥檒l take it (and I don鈥檛 think I鈥檒l be alone) But these went for several multiples of that.

Perhaps LWC with his perfect repros at 200 a pop reduces the prices.

Thanks a lot everyone, I am pretty stoked to have my assumption confirmed! Unfortunately for everyone who asked, I won't be selling it and will instead be putting it back on the watch to make it "original" again.

It is truly amazing to get an answer to such a question within an hour (!) after posting. Again, thanks so much, and please stay this awesome everyone. 馃榾

LWC makes repros ? Any good ? Have never seen one.... So, for $ 6000 you buy one? I have a faded one left.... kind regards. Achim

Thats cool, especially as he鈥檚 gone to the effort of engraving the rear side to prevent them being passed off as vintage.
I read on here that he has also engraved the text and numbers on the front so you can it鈥檚 a Lewis bezel without taking it off.
