Is this red Constellation fake?

Hi all, hoping to get some experienced eyes on this one. Found an Omega Seamaster with what looks like a genuine tropical dial— really caught my eye and I’d love a sanity check before purchase.

Caseback reference is 14701 1 SC, “Acier Inoxydable,” with the Seamaster hippocampe medallion. Movement is stamped cal. 562, serial 17443613, 24 jewels.

Dial is fantasy redial. Rest of the watch probably legit

Omega as far as I’m aware, didn’t have bright coloured watches like reds and greens etc.

That’s what I was thinking, seemed way too perfect red to be considered “tropical patina”. Would you pay 700€ for this? Thank you a lot.

To be honest it doesn’t appeal to me at all, I’d find another.

There were red and green and other colorful dials in 1970s Geneve line (OF stories /w pics) at least. My red (burgundy?) 166.0168 says hi!

This ref was not available with a red dial. I doubt anyone on the forum would advocate paying €700 for it as it’s a low quality redial.

Would you pay 700€
I wouldn't pay anything for it. First, it's not a Constellation (as per title), second it's a overly polished parts watch with a fantasy dial.

Vintage Omegas have blue, red and green dials, they're not that brightly coloured and original green and red dials are very hard to come by, but they do exist !
