Is any of these dials restored? There is currently a white one on Chrono24 and the seller mentioned that it got restored in 2009 by Omega. A white Ranchero recently sold on EBAY looked so perfectly clean that I was in the end not sure whether the dial was in orginal or restored condition. Do you have some insights?
No there are original dials with radium indexs and hands. Omega would not touch a radium dial i think, so sending a Ranchero to Omega I would think they got the dial restored, but I have never seen a Omega restored dial that looked identical to the original. Could you post a picture of the Omega restored dial?
This is the one on Chrono24, I am referring to: https://www.chrono24.de/omega/ranchero--id9285561.htm
Again, I do not know whether it has a refurbished or original dial. It is simply that the dial is such shiny bright and white, that it would be the best one I have ever seen for years.
The seller has not yet answered to my request yet whether the Omega service a couple of years ago also covered the dial - the seller indicated to have the receipt at hand.
If it is not an original dial, than this would be the first copy that looks totally original to me.
The only thing I can not judge is the quality of the luminous paint (structure, grain size, height of paint).
What do you think?
Surely a redial
This is one of mine
You can find a lot of differences. The writing is much thinker on the C24, the subdial almost filled with paint and dont have the sharp edge. The index on the subdial. But it is one of the better redials.
Second one is fake, you should directly send it to me ;-)))))
Back to the C24 one: Agreed, although the depth of the subdial is extremely hard to judge. On the last pic it seems that the edge throws the correct shaddow. Thickness of the writing indeed appears non-typical.
Did you see this one on EBAY: https://www.ebay.de/itm/Omega-Ranchero-267-Small-SEC-Broad-Arrow-Hands-/223264618766?hash=item33fb9bb90e:g:vXIAAOSwPWtb~9s0&nma=true&si=%2FLskI9mTf%2BFcjrqzfIjyz47jXIs%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
What do you think about it?
