    Original Yes
    Valuable No
Would 99.9% of people here buy it. No

    Does it even work?

While it may seem attractive to you, I suspect it would become a money pit.

    Looks real enough.

I was going to joke that I would pay 20 bucks for it if it were running...

    But I don’t think I would.

    Best left alone.

Even setting aside it’s a quartz watch (ie not Swiss handicraft) with a design and from a period that are not collectable, the case is plated and is peeling off on the edge of the movement.

Agree the strap is the best part.

Seriously man, look at it, it’s the perfect shim for under the leg of that wobbly table in the kitchen.

Spend your 40 bucks on a bottle of cheap whiskey, you'll get more satisfaction from that.

Have you found a sold listing for a similar watch in similar condition that has sold for that much?

You could get a bottle of high end truffle spiked olive oil with that. Much more satisfaction in the long run than the cheap whiskey!

I can usually find something positive about most watches however to do so in this case is rather difficult. I wonder if it works, and if it doesn't, could it be repaired?
