Β·Sure, why not buy it. It sounds like you don't have much experience with vintage watches, so you might as well take the opportunity to buy-own-sell. I wouldn't pay to have it serviced right away, however, because there's a reasonable chance that you will ultimately decide you don't want to keep it. If you still like it after six months, then have it serviced.

No. You can do a long time experiment ; wear it daily as is, see when it stops, buy another old movement, have that serviced then and replace the original, now obsolete ,unserviced movement and learn that way. Might be more Fun !
