·Hi, what do you think about this Constellation 14393? Does the dial look original to you? I like it a lot, but I don’t know if it's 100% legit and what the correct price might be.

·Authentic, yes. A nice example, no. IMO, the dials on these railtracks are very attractive when nice but not very attractive with even a little patina. Crown is incorrect, and case is polished. For me, this would need to be under $1k for sure.

·I doubt you will get it for under $1k. If you like it, just make sure it is worth getting this, than another in better condition. Better to have fewer watches that are nice, than a bunch that have issues.

·I found this other one that seems to be the exact same reference. For the one in the photos above they’re asking 1500 USD. I didn’t expect the crown not to be original, but it actually is different from the one in this photo.

·Between the two, I would choose the first one, because on the wrist the dial probably looks ok. This second dial is not appealing to me. Of course, I wouldn't pay $1500, and if selling it, I would certainly price it below $1k.

And you have to do your research ahead of time so you don't need to post watches on the forum for advice. When you find any good watch at a fair price, you can't delay ... just buy it. Otherwise someone who knows what they are looking at will grab it. The stuff sitting around for months on eBay is sitting there for a reason, usually because it's way overpriced for what it is.
